Implementing ISO 14001

We have been working with both Nick and Cathy since early/mid 2004 when The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew decided to investigate the  SO14001 standard.



We were aware that the Royal Parks had just successfully taken that route and through our close connections discovered who had assisted them. We asked Passingham Associates to make a senior management presentation and following on from this engaged them to work with us on a consultancy basis.  This has been extremely successful and saw RBG Kew becoming the first World Heritage status site to achieve the standard and all within 18 months which we feel was very fast considering the complexity of our site and operations. Throughout the process both Nick and Cathy have shown themselves to be everything we could have wished for and have very quickly come to understand how RBG Kew works. I have made a
number of presentations about our achieving ISO14001 to similar organisations as ours and am more than happy to recommend Passingham Associates. We continue to work with them on maintaining the standard and are beginning discussions about increasing the scope of the award to cover other sites.
